Here at Oak Hill Baptist we are blessed with a number of good cooks! Each month we will feature four recipes from our 2002 "Fruit Of The Spirit" cookbook. These are some of the goodies we've been enjoying for years and now it's your turn!

Cheese Ring
6 c. grated sharp cheedar cheese 2 c. pecans, chopped fine
1 bunch green onions, chopped 1/2 c. mayonnaise
fine garlic salt to taste
Mix together and place in any kind of dish. Chill several hours before serving. When serving, pour a jar of strawberry preserves or pepper jelly over the top.

Taco Soup
2 cans whole sweet corn 1 can Ro-Tel
2 cans chopped peeled tomatoes 1 onion, chopped
2 cans pinto beans 1 pkg. dry ranch dressing mix
1 pkg. taco mix, mild or hot 2 lb. hamburger meat
Brown meat with onion. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes. Serve with corn chips and shredded cheese.

Chicken and Dumplings
1 hen or fryer, boiled and 1 can evaporated milk
deboned - save broth 4 boiled eggs, sliced
2 c. plain flour 1 can cream of chicken soup
Mix flour and milk. Roll out real thin on well-floured surface. Cut in strips and let dry for 15 minutes. Drop in boiling broth, then add chicken and cream of chicken soup. Stir slowly and add eggs. Let stand for a few minutes.

Heath Bar Cake
1 swiss chocolate cake mix
Icing
1 c. sugar 8 oz. Cool Whip
8 oz. softened cream cheese 3 Heath candy bars, crumbled
Blend sugar, cream cheese and Cool Whip. Spread icing on cake. Sprinkle candy bar crumbs between each layer and on top of cake.
Bake cake as directed in two or three layers. Allow to cool. Top with icing.
